Meet Monica

"I started this studio because I missed the slowness of darkroom work."

Before IDEditServe, Monica spent six years retouching for a regional commercial studio in Baton Rouge. She moved back to New Orleans in 2017 to start something smaller, and more honest — a studio where every file is handled by the same person who answers the phone.

Today, IDEditServe edits roughly 1,200 images a month for a tight roster of photographers, brands and private families. We've capped intake on purpose. The work is better when it's not rushed.

If you ever wonder who's looking at your file — it's Monica, usually with a cup of coffee, in front of the same calibrated monitor we set up the day we opened.

What guides us

Three rules we don't break.

01

Skin should still look like skin.

We never smooth away texture. Pores, freckles, character — they stay.

02

Color should match the room.

We soft-proof against the medium your image will live on: paper, screen, fabric.

03

Files come back ready.

Layered PSDs on request, color-managed JPEGs, organized exactly how you asked for them.

The studio

Where the work happens.

Our editing room sits in a converted carriage house off Alabama Street. North-facing windows, neutral walls, and a workflow that hasn't changed much in eight years — because it works.
